TERMS OF BICYCLE RENTAL AND PARTICIPATION IN BICYCLE EXCURSIONS

Pickup and return: The client is obliged to return the bike at the exact place and in the same condition as it was picked up.

Guarantee: For safety and security reasons, it is not possible to rent a bike without the use of a valid ID/passport/driving license or any other official form of identification. If necessary, a credit card may be required to rent a vehicle (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), even if the payment is made in cash.

Restrictions:

The client is riding the bicycle at his own risk. The client has to check bike and equipment prior to use in order to make any claims regarding unsatisfactory material.

The client will be held responsible/liable for any wear/damage to the bicycle during the rental and is obliged to immediately compensate for the damage upon return.

Nikos Bicycles will under no circumstances be liable for any accidents and/or damage to third parties caused by the improper behavior or driving of the client, as well as criminal mischief during the rental. Solely responsible/liable for all above mentioned is the client.

Nikos Bicycles is not liable for any personal property of the client, eg. bags, glasses, cameras, clothes etc.

The client is obliged to use the vehicle properly, conforming to the public safety rules and the laws governing safe driving.

The client declares that he/she will not proceed with the rental and use of vehicles under the influence of alcohol or other substances.

Nikos Bicycles has the right to refuse to rent any vehicle to people who are drunk or under the influence of drugs and/or stimulants.

Regardless of the above, the store is entitled to prohibit the entry and rental of any person it deems, without being obliged to justify this decision.

The use of protective equipment and helmet during every rental/lease is instructed during the registration. The use of helmet and protective equipment is provided freely and is unhindered.

Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian adult.

Additional facilities: Upon request, child seats, helmet and bicycle lock are available without extra charge.

Covid-19: Nikos Bicycles fully supports the preventive measures to ensure the safety and health of our clients in accordance with the WHO guidelines.

Management fees: The client is aware of the fact that in case of total loss or theft of the vehicle during the rental, he/she is obliged to compensate Nikos Bicycles with:

The amount of 180 € for each kids/children bicycle

The amount of 280 € for each simple adults bicycle ΜΤΒ, TREKKING & CLASSIC BIKE

The amount of 450 € for each adults bicycle A CLASS MTB

The amount of 850 € for each ROAD BIKE or CROSS BIKE

The amount of 1.150 € for each E-bike

Payment Methods:

The rent can be paid by cash or by card (VISA, Master Card, American Express, Diners) before the start of the rental.

The payment of the bicycle rent constitutes the aforementioned declaration – acceptance of the above terms and conditions. The rental cannot take place without the acceptance of the above terms and conditions.

For any disputes arising, the suitable settlement body is the Court of Chania

EXTRA TERMS FOR BICYCLE TOURS ONLY:

The client has to follow the orders of representatives of Nikos Bicycles at all times during a tour. Failure to do so may result in the termination of the bike ride. No refund will be granted.

If a tour is terminated at a client’s own wish, no refund can be granted.

In case of force majeure Nikos Bicyles is not liable for damage, delay or cancellation of services.

For minors under 18 years of age participation conditions have to be signed by a a parent or guardian adult.

Acceptance of above terms of participation is confirmed by the act of tour reservation.
